Today's NY Times Style section includes an article on ingenious ways to provide your pet a little personal home of their own - Raising the Bar on Pet Decor.  These savvy pet owners didn't let a small living space cramp there style or their pets...  Check out the unique designed built-ins & reworked furniture to accommodate sleeping, eating, and bathroom needs as well as design details that provide a little exercise fun.  Be sure to click on the highlighted links for more info & photos.

Brooklyn, NY residents Bill Hilgendorf and Maria Cristina Rueda took advantage of their apartment's vertical space and crafted a custom exercise staircase with design & style in mind.

With this piece of furniture given to her by a friend, Kristi Linauer, decorator and blogger, transformed this old secretary into a mini kitty condo, complete with eating and sleeping accommodations.





From Design Sponge, dog owner Jamie Kovach took the space that once housed her dog crate, and crafted a desk for herself and custom dog house for her pooch.
