Scalamandre's Zebras Wallpaper
{Image Found Here}

Having read about Scalamandre's Zebras wallpaper in previous posts on design blogs Glimpse of Glamour, Habitually Chic, & Elements of Style, I instantly spotted the print in this month's Elle Decor magazine's Style Sheet.  Known for the poppy colored background, whimsical & lively zebra details, this vintage print was first issued in the 1940s and hung on the walls of New York City's legendary Gino's restaurant.  More recently, movie director Wes Anderson selected the iconic print for a bedroom's walls in his noted film, The Royal Tenenbaums.  The wallpaper serves as the backdrop in the bedroom of playwright prodigy Margot Tenenbaum, played by actress Gwyneth Paltrow.  Taking it to the streets, Scalamandre has issued the beloved design in the form of large & small umbrellas, available on their website for purchase and as featured in Elle Decor's Dec 10/Jan 11 issue.  Check out the Zebras wallpaper offered in different colorways and utilized in Bathrooms found below, and for good measure, the trailer for The Royal Tenenbaums.
