My previous post on Lulu's flat compared how her style had evolved over the 13 years of home ownership. I included Elle Decor's photos from their June/July 2000 issue and the most recent interior pics from New York Social Diary's conversation with Lulu upon the sale of her apartment & relocation to LA. The Oct/Nov 2010 issue of Lonny magazine featured Lulu and family, in their new sunny California surroundings.

New Find ~ Honeysuckle

Last night we headed over to VA-Highland to sample the foodie goodness of the neighborhood's "Wednesday Night Food Trucks" gathering. My new find (and love) is Honeysuckle -- creators of southern inspired gelato & sorbet -- and it is heavenly! I realized after the fact, that we finished our scoops before I took a picture of my delectable Cupid Shuffle (Chocolate Lavender Sorbet) and The Kang (Banana Gelato with Peanut Butter & Caramel). Friend Honeysuckle on Facebook & follow them on Twitter to get updates on where their truck is parked next.

Birdcage Style

My memories of seeing birdcages hanging outside of shops, grouped together at various heights, and housing beautiful & bright colored birds come from my experiences of living in Asia. I started my birdcage collection as I got older, always on the lookout for interesting scale & wood finishes -- as pictured above.

A classic & modern interpretation of birdcage design continues to turn up in the pages of shelter magazines & on the shelves of home furnishing stores....  check out more below.
