Dominique Browning

In December 2007, House and Garden Magazine, a publication known for its lovely blend of interior design and lifestyle, was dissolved by its publisher, Conde Naste.  When presented the news, longtime H&G Editor, Dominique Browning, was given 4 days to have the offices and staff cleared out.  In those final moments of her 12 year career as Editor, Browning's emotional roller coaster was just beginning to take off, as every speck of H&G identity - pens, paper, and years of hard work - were in the trash.

The Final Cover of H&G, December 2007, photographed with Aerin Lauder - Senior Vice President, Creative Director for Estee Lauder.

The NY Times Sunday Magazine has included an article on Browning's journey of self perseverance and professional challenges faced in the 2 plus years since losing her dream job, with excerpts taken from newly published book - Slow Love:  How I Lost My Job, Put on My Pajamas and Found Happiness.  Check out her website Slow Love Life for more notes, insights, and info.
