{dF} Duchess Fare Included in the June Issue of Romantic Homes Magazine

Many thanks to Romantic Homes Magazine for including the {dF} Duchess Fare blog in their "Setting Your Sites" column in the June 2010 issue.

Hyde Park, London (left) / Our Kitchen (right).

I was asked to submit photos that I thought evoked a sense of what {dF} Duchess Fare was all about.  Chosen are the above photos:  The photo on the left is from our travels - Hyde Park in London - taken when all the daffodils were just starting to bloom.  Such a sight to see - a field of yellow found right in the heart of this historic city.  The photo on the right, our current kitchen, where everything seems to happen in our house - cooking, reading The NY Times, listening to NPR, working on the computer - where the ideas for {dF} Duchess Fare take shape.  Plus this kitchen's fixtures tell our remodeling story - the dishes hung above the sink were brought back from Singapore, the green subway tile was found on the "Customer Returned Order" aisle of Home Expo, noticing Jim's hand in designing & installing the cabinetry and outfitting a custom stainless steel vent hood over the cook-top.
