Muriel Brandolini Buzz Continues.....

Tuesday, October 11, 2011

My post from 9/28 discussed all the recent news surrounding interior designer Muriel Brandolini -- Her first published interiors book, The World of Muriel Brandolini: Interiors, is due out today; she was featured in Harper's Bazaar, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal; she is offering a limited edition custom designed home furnishings line at Barneys; and the upcoming auction of personal period treasures -- fine furniture and accessories collected throughout her years of travel -- at Phillips de Pury & Company. Brandolini's buzz continues with an in depth article on her 2 decade career in design and intimate photos taken at her NYC town house in the October 2011 issue of Town & Country magazine.

On October 21st, Phillips de Pury & Company will auction off a portion of Brandolini's acquired personal home furnishings, both antique and contemporary in style. I have held onto my March 2011 issue of Architectural Digest magazine, which also featured interior photos of her Upper East Side home. I noticed in her Kitchen, the ceiling mounted light fixture is lot #105 from the auction catalog -- a Angelo Lelli ceiling light, ca. 1950. Price estimate $8000-$12000. (see below)
