Party At Ponce Was A Blast!

Ponce City Market's Party at Ponce was held on Saturday night and what a spectacular evening! Not only was the food amazing but the musical performances as well. The chilly Fall night didn't deter supporters from thoroughly enjoying a mostly outdoor event, and additionally, I noticed that many in attendance were a "who's who" of the Atlanta design community. Party at Ponce celebrated the kickoff for Ponce City Market and the 10th Anniversary of Green Street Properties, with proceeds benefiting the Atlanta Beltline project and Georgia Organics. The ground floor of the Ponce City Market building hosted a pop up food hall of sorts, with noted Atlanta chefs serving savory signature flavors in bite size portions. Foodie highlights for me were Anne Quatrano of Star Provisions providing luncheonette style trays filled with individual wrapped & labeled treats, Chef Joe Truex of Watershed was dishing out Spicy Meatballs packed with flavor, the folks at YEAH! BURGER served up generous size Turkey Burgers, and Chef Hugh Acheson of Empire State South provided a delectable Crab Bisque.

The music was the icing on the cake....  having local Atlanta musicians -- Francine Reed, Shawn Mullins, and the Indigo Girls -- participate in the evening made the night that much sweeter, downhome, and personal. I have been a longtime fan of the Indigo Girls, and their performance from Saturday night did not disappoint.
