On December 8 & 9, Sotheby's will be auctioning off fine and decorative arts from the Collection of the late San Francisco philanthropist Dodie Rosekrans. This truly unique and important Collection of fabulously stylish acquired worldly pieces has been brought together from the 3 homes owned by Mrs. Rosekrans. The interiors of the Venice and Paris homes were designed by legendary decorator Tony Duquette and furnished with many Duquette custom designed pieces, and the San Francisco residence was designed by Michael Taylor. Longtime Duquette collaborator, Hutton Wilkinson, who currently leads the Duquette office, is quoted as saying he will be attending the Sotheby's auction with the hopes of buying back select items.
