Today's NY Times Styles section includes a in depth reveal into the ever evolving and trendsetting design firm of Roman & Williams. Husband & wife Stephen Alesch and Robin Standefer, founded their business (named in honor of their maternal grandfathers) following a successful partnership of crafting set designs for various movies throughout the 1990s.

The Roman & Williams lengthy work portfolio spans a spectrum of design projects, residential (clients include Ben Stiller & Gwyneth Paltrow) to commercial (the Standard Hotel, the Dutch, and more), both stateside and abroad. In 2011, Architectural Digest named Roman & Williams to their list of Innovators, plus more recent news highlights the couple's custom line of bath fixtures & tile for Waterworks, and their first book, Roman & Williams Buildings and Interiors: Things We Made, published for the 10 year anniversary of establishing their interior design firm.

Included below are photos from their NYC loft home, which was on the market at one point last summer, furnishings included and priced at $3.5 million, followed by video of Alesch and Standefer in their studio discussing the backstory in developing their signature style.
