Mobile Mural
An opening reception for Chapel Hill, NC based artist Mary Carter Taub's lastest work, Mobile Mural, is happening tonight at Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe in Chapel Hill from 6-8pm. Taub, along with a selected group of local artists, have been put to the task of creating public art by a partnership between the Chapel Hill Downtown Partnership and the town's Public and Cultural Arts Office.
Taub has wrapped a transit bus with a bright colored collage of reinterpreted images from town maps (see Taub's sketches below).... The bus will be on view on its regular route for the next year.
