Lunch at The Bakery at Cakes & Ale

This past weekend in Atlanta proved to be a complete wash out! I didn't want our rainy Saturday to go by without a taste of something special, so I suggested that a late lunch at The Bakery at Cakes & Ale would be the perfect bright spot during the dreary day.... Saturday's menu is pictured above and our selections below.... As always, Chef David Sweeney is a true culinary genius! Catch his upcoming cooking class at The Third Space on May 13.

Enjoyed a cappuccino as we decided on our lunch....


I ordered the Grain Bowl --  with Tagine spiced chick peas, roasted sweet potato, pumpkin seeds, and a dollop of sour cream on top....


Mr. Ferguson ordered the Mediterranean-Style Chicken Salad Sandwich -- with preserved lemon on grilled sourdough bread....


We shared a side of Roasted Russet Potato Wedges -- topped with chopped Vidalia onion....
