Le Labo

Thursday, February 6, 2014

I mentioned in this previous post about receiving a Le Labo candle for Christmas, thanks to a NY Times article featuring this French perfumery. Not only does Le Labo offer the most distinctive candles, but they craft their signature scents into perfumes & body care products. The company was founded in 2006 by Fabrice Penot and Eddie Roschi, and the pair continue to grow the business with boutiques in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, and Tokyo, and available exclusively at Barneys.

So, now being completely charmed by the scent of my Laurier 62 candle, I have ordered some perfume. Le Labo makes it easy to try out their assortment of fragrances, without having to make a commitment on buying a full bottle (which is fantastic for me because I can be sensitive to certain smells). They give you the option of ordering an individual sampling in the 1.5ml size spray or a set of 3 in the 5ml size spray....   I have selected the set of 3 - Lys 41, Bergamote 22, and Ylang 49. I'll keep you updated with a follow-up post of my favorite when they arrive.

*I must mention about Le Labo's packaging too. The extra special care taken in the wrapping of my candle (including a sample scent spray) when I opened the box didn't go unnoticed....
