Nashville

Tuesday, October 4, 2016

We just returned from a 4 day weekend in Nashville. The trip not only provided a terrific visit with family at Vanderbilt, but also allowed us the opportunity to hit some places that have been on my list to try and located in a variety of the city's pocket neighborhoods.

*I coordinated a tailgate for the Vandy game on Saturday -- I used Tinwings for help with the food and everything was delicious!

**Of the 3 coffee shops we tried, CREMA was my favorite.

Our Itinerary

Thursday :

-Dinner at Josephine
-Dessert next door at Jeni's Ice Cream

Friday :

-Coffee at CREMA for an Almond Milk Cappuccino
-Lunch at Dozen Bakery -- we tried the Hamery Ham Tartine, a croissant and a chocolate chip cookie
-Tailgate pickup at Tinwings
-Coffee at Headquarters for an Almond Milk Cappuccino
-Stop into Cool Stuff Weird Things
-Dinner at The Treehouse.....  To note, the chef, Jason Zygmont, is a Five & Ten alum. Absolutely worth putting on your list of places to get to -- I think we ordered every dish on the menu, including the 3 offered desserts!

Saturday :

-'Vandy Ville' Tailgate
-Coffee at CREMA for an Almond Milk Cappuccino
-Stop into Imogene + Willie, and you know I was absoultely tickled to see their location was on the corner of Sweetbriar Ave & 12 Ave S.....  As Sweet Briar is my alma mater!
-S'more Love Bakery was parked out front of Imogene + Willie and we couldn't resist a try -- The Elvis and The Cookie Monster
-Stop into Draper James, where I noticed Mark D. Sikes' newly released 'Beautiful' was proudly displayed

Sunday :

-Coffee at Steadfast.....  To note, Steadfast makes their own Almond Macadamia Nut Milk. We also grabbed an Egg Breakfast sammy and a chocolate chip cookie for the road - both excellent!
