A Famed Summer Estate Hits the Market

Thursday, July 7, 2011

Legendary actress Katharine Hepburn's Old Saybrook, CT estate has been put up for sale by its current owners.  During Ms. Hepburn's ownership, the home served as a summer residence for her family, and eventually became her permanent home prior to her death in 2003.  In 2004, the home was sold to nearby residents Frank and Barbara Sciame, who embarked on a top to bottom renovation.  The completed interiors & grounds and the Sciame family were featured in the October 2006 issue of Town & Country Magazine.  The home sits over looking the Long Island Sound, with 6 bedrooms & 7 1/2 baths.  The asking price is $28 million.
