We watched on Sunday night Sofia Coppola's A Very Murray Christmas, available now on Netflix. Starring Bill Murray, the hour long show is such a family affair! The Carlyle Hotel scenes were my favorite -- spotting Sofia's cousin Jason Schwartzman, her husband's band Phoenix.... David Johansen (who was in Scrooged with Bill Murray).... Sofia Coppola directed Bill Murray in Lost In Translation and Jason Schwartzman appeared with Mr. Murray in Rushmore. Watch it if you're in the mood for quirky, funny Christmas cheer!
It's got me thinking about other Holiday movies I've watched since I was little and still look forward to seeing around this time of year..... First up -- Alastair Sim as Ebenezer Scrooge in Scrooge.... This is my father's favorite adaption for the screen and we watched it every Christmas Eve when my brothers and I were young.... I think its since been offered in a color film edition, but the original black & white is definitely they way to watch it!
